REVOLUTIONARY
A faced-paced political drama where fiction and history meets physical theatre, dance and visual journey through time and space.

Stavanger Concert Hall April 2023
The play Revolutionary tells the story of the Russian Revolution and Alexandra Kollontai's rebellion. Against the tsar, her husband, parents, Lenin, Stalin and above all - the bourgeoisie. Alexandra leaves the comfort of aristocratic Russia for a Europe in flames, with only one goal: All power to the people!

Set in a theatrical circus context where Lenin is the ring master who directs aristocratic and proletarian clowns alike.
Alexandra is a person betrayed by her time, forgotten by ours. History is written by the victors - and women revolutionaries ignored. Alexandra's story might tell us something about our present; when one person clings on to power it threatens the human condition. Like we're experiencing in Europe right now.

Welcome to the circus! Join the revolution!
